I’m Alina Holtmann, a Berlin-based designer and art director with 15 years of experience across design, culture and architecture.
I create visual identities, campaigns and visual worlds for cultural institutions, music, festivals and events, working across print, digital and physical space.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked with leading cultural and educational institutions, including the European Film Academy as Head of Design, and the Goethe-Institut across dozens of projects. My work also extends to independent artists, festivals and organisations across Europe and internationally.
Before establishing my independent design practice in 2017, I worked in architecture and interior design at renowned Berlin studios including nps tchoban voss and Bruzkus Batek Architects. My architectural background continues to shape my approach to design, from the way I think about structure and space to building visual languages that translate across different scales, formats and environments.

Alina conceived and executed graphic design for the International German Language Olympics 2020 event in a highly professional manner. She managed to create innovative event media design, while still following the clients requirements and brand guidelines.
